How to add FB Pixel tag in Tag Manager?

Facebook Pixel in Google Tag Manager

Creating a FB Pixel tag in Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a simple process that can be done in just a few steps. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide:

  1. Log in to your Google Tag Manager account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one.
  2. Select the “Workspace” you want to add the tag to. If you don’t have a workspace, you’ll need to create one.
  3. Click the “Tags” menu. This will bring up a list of all the tags you have created in your GTM account.
  4. Click the “New” button to create a new tag.
  5. Select the “Facebook Pixel” tag type.
  6. Enter your Facebook Pixel ID in the Pixel ID field. This ID can be found in your Facebook Business Manager account under “Pixels”.
  7. Choose a trigger for the tag. A trigger determines when the tag will fire on your website. For a Facebook Pixel, the most common trigger is “Page View”.
  8. Verify that your tag configuration is correct and then click the “Create Tag” button.
  9. Preview your container to make sure the tag is firing correctly. To do this, click the “Preview” button in the GTM interface and then load your website.
  10. If everything is working correctly, publish your container to make the tag live on your website. To do this, click the “Submit” button in the GTM interface and then “Publish”.

That’s it! Your FB Pixel tag is now live on your website and you can use it to track conversions, optimize your advertising campaigns, and gain insights into your website traffic.

Note: Before you create your FB Pixel tag in GTM, make sure you have created a FB Pixel for your website in your Facebook Business Manager account. This is a separate step and is necessary in order to use the Facebook Pixel in GTM.
